Name: Two Foot Higher Trampoline and DMT club
Home town: Musselburgh
Two Foot Higher trampoline club was founded in 2004 at Musselburgh Sports Centre in East Lothian following the winding up of Lasswade trampoline club, which was based in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian.
The club started out with only a few of the old Lasswade Trampoline Club members, the best bouncer being Graeme Thomson. Under the former Scottish Trampoline Association (STA) Graeme had achieved moderate success internationally as part of the Scottish team for a number of years. Graeme has now retiraed (December 2007) but continues to occasionally judge for the Two Foot Higher trampoline club. Graeme’s most memorable success was a 7th Place at the European Championships in 1998 in the men’s synchronised event held in Dessau, Germany.
Over the last few years the club has started to expand and grow by putting on more classes and introducing DMT to new and existing members. Although we have been making a conscious effort to increase the amount of classes available to new and existing members we are very careful not to overfill classes to allow reasonable time on the trampoline. We as a club very much believe that quality outweighs quantity and we pride ourselves on having both the ability and coaching expertise to support performers to their full potential.
